The National Assessment Governing Board published a document in the Federal Register on February 21, 2019, announcing the schedule and proposed agenda of a forthcoming quarterly meeting of the National Assessment Governing Board to be convened on February 28, March 1, and March 2, 2019. The meeting agenda has been revised to reflect a change to the meeting schedule for Friday, March 1, 2019 by adding a closed session as detailed below.

In an abundance of caution, to the extent that some users may have experienced technical issues preventing the submission of comments using the Federal eRulemaking Portal, the Department is reopening the comment period for one day on February 15, 2019.

The Department of Education (Department) is issuing a notice inviting applications for fiscal year (FY) 2019 for the EIR program Mid-phase Grants, Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) number 84.411B (Mid-phase Grants).

The Department of Education (Department) issues these final regulations to adjust the Department's civil monetary penalties (CMPs) for inflation. This adjustment is required by the Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act Improvements Act of 2015 (2015 Act), which amended the Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act of 1990 (Inflation Adjustment Act).
