DoD published an advance notice of proposed rulemaking on November 17, 2023, seeking public input on a proposed revision to the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) to implement certain elements of sections of the National Defense Authorization Acts for Fiscal Years 2012, 2017, and 2021, which establish contract requirements that enable modular open system approaches.
