DoD is issuing a final rule amending the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) to remove Cuba from the definition of ``state sponsor of terrorism'' in two DFARS clauses. This rule implements the Department of Department of State Public Notice: 9162, Rescission of Determination Regarding Cuba.
Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement: Requirements Relating to Supply Chain Risk (DFARS Case 2012-D050)
DoD has adopted as final, with changes, an interim rule amending the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) to implement a section of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year (FY) 2011, as amended by the NDAA for FY 2013. This final rule allows DoD to consider the impact of supply chain risk in specified types of procurements related to national security systems.
Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement: Network Penetration Reporting and Contracting for Cloud Services (DFARS Case 2013-D018)
DoD issued an interim rule (DFARS Case 2013-D018) on August 26, 2015, amending the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) to implement a section of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2013 and a section of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2015, both of which require contractor reporting on network penetrations. The comment period on the interim rule is being extended to November 20, 2015.
Detection and Avoidance of Counterfeit Electronic Parts-Further Implementation (DFARS Case 2014-D005)
DoD is hosting a public meeting to obtain the views of experts and interested parties in Government and the private sector regarding further implementation of the requirement for detection and avoidance of counterfeit electronic parts, as required by a section of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012.
Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement: Evaluating Reasonableness of Price for Commercial Items (DFARS Case 2013-D034)
DoD issued a proposed rule (DFARS Case 2013-D034) on August 3, 2015 to amend the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) to implement a section of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year (FY) 2013. The comment period on the proposed rule is being reopened and the deadline for submitting comments is being extended to November 13, 2015.
