Tennessee Broadband Summit Conference
The National Telecommunications and Information Administration's BroadbandUSA Program, in partnership with the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development, will host a Broadband Summit about ``Creating Partnerships to Ensure Access for All'' on March 20, 2018. Speakers and attendees from Tennessee, federal agencies, and across the country will come together to explore ways to increase broadband deployment and improve broadband adoption to advance their overarching business, social, economic, and community goals. This Summit will highlight the initiatives and outreach driven through the newly enacted Tennessee Broadband Accessibility Act, which promotes broadband deployment thorough grants to providers, tax credits, deregulation, and education.
Promoting Stakeholder Action Against Botnets and Other Automated Threats
The Department of Commerce (Department) is requesting comment on a draft Report about actions to address automated and distributed threats to the digital ecosystem as part of the activity directed by Executive Order 13800, ``Strengthening the Cybersecurity of Federal Networks and Critical Infrastructure.'' Through this Notice, the Department seeks broad input and feedback from all interested stakeholdersincluding private industry, academia, civil society, and other security expertson this draft Report, its characterization of risks and the state of the ecosystem, the goals laid out, and the actions to further these goals.
Renewal of the Digital Economy Board of Advisors Charter
On December 20, 2017, the U.S. Department of Commerce renewed the Charter for the Digital Economy Board of Advisors. It has been determined that the Committee is necessary and in the public interest.
