Spectrum Sharing Innovation Test-Bed Pilot Program
This notice describes and seeks comment on the types and depth of testing that the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) intends to conduct in Phase I of the Spectrum Sharing Innovation Test-Bed pilot program to assess whether devices employing Dynamic Spectrum Access techniques can share the frequency spectrum with land mobile radio systems.
Proposed Information Collection; Comment Request; Low-Power Television and Translator Digital Upgrade Program Application Form
The U.S. Department of Commerce, as part of its continuing effort to reduce paperwork and respondent burden, invites the general public and other Federal agencies to comment on a proposed information collection as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, Public Law 104-13 (44 U.S.C. 3506(c)(2)(A)).
Public Telecommunications Facilities Program: Closing Date
The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) announces that the new closing date for certain digital television Distributed Transmission System (DTS) projects is Monday, May 18, 2009. This new Closing Date for certain DTS projects is designed to accommodate a new policy issued by the Federal Communications Commission after NTIA published the original Closing Date notice in the Federal Register. The Closing Date for receipt of all other Public Telecommunications Facilities Program (PTFP) applications remains Thursday, December 18, 2008.
Pan-Pacific Education and Communications Experiments by Satellite (PEACESAT): Closing Date
Pursuant to the Consolidated Security, Disaster Assistance, and Continuing Appropriations Act, 2009, Public Law 110-329 (2008), the U.S. Department of Commerce announces the solicitation of applications for a grant for the Pan-Pacific Education and Communications Experiments by Satellite (PEACESAT) Program. Projects funded pursuant to this Notice are intended to support the PEACESAT Program's acquisition of satellite communications to service Pacific Basin communities and to manage the operations of this network. Applications for the PEACESAT Program grant will compete for funds from the Public Broadcasting, Facilities, Planning and Construction Funds account.
Privacy Act of 1974; System of Records
In accordance with the Privacy Act, 5 U.S.C. Sec. 552a(e)(4) and (11), the Department of Commerce is issuing a notice of its intent to amend the system of records entitled COMMERCE/NTIA-1, ``Applications Related to Coupons for Digital-to-Analog Converter Boxes.'' We invite public comment on the proposed change in this publication.
