Possible Models for the Administration and Support of Discipline-Specific Guidance Groups for Forensic Science
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) invites interested parties to provide their perspectives on the appropriate model for NIST administration and support of discipline- specific Guidance Groups (``Guidance Groups'') to be established pursuant to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the National Institute of Standards and Technology. NIST seeks to identify and understand approaches for the structure of effective and sustainable Guidance Groups. This Notice does not solicit comments or advice on the policies that should be addressed by the Guidance Groups. Responses to this Notice will serve only as input for NIST's consideration of a model to establish and administer the Guidance Groups.
National Construction Safety Team Advisory Committee Meeting
The National Construction Safety Team (NCST) Advisory Committee (Committee) will meet on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern time and Wednesday, October 16, 2013, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Eastern time. The meeting will be open to the public. The primary purpose of this meeting is to update the Committee on the status of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Disaster and Failure Studies Program, receive NIST's response to the Committee's 2012 annual report recommendations, update the Committee on the progress of the NIST Technical Investigation of the May 22, 2011 Tornado in Joplin, MO, and gather information for the Committee's 2013 Annual Report to Congress. The agenda may change to accommodate Committee business. The final agenda will be posted on the NIST Web site at https://www.nist.gov/el/disasterstudies/ncst/.
Visiting Committee on Advanced Technology
The Visiting Committee on Advanced Technology (VCAT or Committee), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), will meet in open session on Tuesday, October 8, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Eastern Time. The VCAT is composed of fifteen members appointed by the NIST Director who are eminent in such fields as business, research, new product development, engineering, labor, education, management consulting, environment, and international relations.
Request for Information on Computer Security Incident Coordination (CSIC)
NIST is extending the deadline for submitting comments relating to Computer Security Incident Coordination. NIST experienced technical difficulties with receiving email comments from the time the notice was published on June 28, 2013 through July 31, 2013. Due to the technical difficulties experienced during the comment period, NIST may not have received all comments submitted via email on or before the closing date, July 29, 2013. Persons who submitted comments via email on or before July 29, 2013 may resubmit their comments during the extended comment period. In addition, since NIST is extending the comment period, persons who submitted untimely comments between July 29, 2013 and July 31, 2013 also may resubmit their comments during the extended comment period. NIST will accept new comments during the extended comment period as well. NIST will accept only emails during the extended time period.

This notice announces the Secretary of Commerce's approval of Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) Publication 201-2, Personal Identity Verification (PIV) of Federal Employees and Contractors. FIPS 201-2 includes clarifications to existing text, additional text in cases where there were ambiguities, adaptation to changes in the environment since the publication of FIPS 201-1, and specific changes requested by Federal agencies and implementers.

The Information Security and Privacy Advisory Board (ISPAB) will meet Wednesday, October 9, 2013, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Thursday, October 10, 2013, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time, and Friday, October 11, 2013, from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time. All sessions will be open to the public.
Notice of Public Meeting-Intersection of Cloud Computing and Mobility Forum and Workshop
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) announces the Intersection of Cloud and Mobility Forum and Workshop to be held on Tuesday, October 1, Wednesday, October 2, and Thursday, October 3, 2013. The format is a three-day forum with breakout sessions held each day. The NIST Intersection of Cloud and Mobility Forum and Workshop will bring together leaders and innovators from industry, academia and government in an interactive format that combines keynote presentations, panel discussions, interactive breakout sessions, and open discussion. The forum and workshop are open to the general public. NIST invites organizations to display posters and participate as exhibitors as described in the SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION section below.
