Census Bureau May 2021 – Federal Register Recent Federal Regulation Documents

The Bureau of the Census (Census Bureau) is giving notice of a virtual meeting of the National Advisory Committee (NAC). The Committee will address ongoing outreach efforts needed to assist with the designing of a differential privacy suite for the 2020 Census data products that will meet programmatic, legal, and statistical requirements, including work on both the primary and secondary disclosure avoidance systems. The Committee will also finalize its recommendations from the Spring NAC meeting. Last-minute changes to the schedule are possible, which could prevent giving advance public notice of schedule adjustments. The Department of Commerce, in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) of 1995, invites the general public and other Federal agencies to comment on proposed, and continuing information collections, which helps us assess the impact of our information collection requirements and minimize the public's reporting burden. The purpose of this notice is to allow for 60 days of public comment on the proposed extension of the Report of Building or Zoning Permits Issues for New Privately-Owned Housing Units (Building Permits Survey), prior to the submission of the information collection request (ICR) to OMB for approval.
