Flathead Resource Advisory Committee; Meeting
The Flathead Resource Advisory Committee (RAC) will meet in Kalispell, Montana. The committee is authorized under the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self-Determination Act (the Act) and operates in compliance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act. The purpose of the committee is to improve collaborative relationships and to provide advice and recommendations to the Forest Service concerning projects and funding consistent with Title II of the Act. Proposed New Fee Sites: The National Forests in North Carolina
The National Forests in North Carolina is proposing to charge new fees at two recreation sites. All sites have recently been reconstructed or improvements are being added to enhance services and experiences. Fees are assessed based on the level of amenities and services provided, cost of operation and maintenance, market assessment, and public comment. Funds from fees would be used for the continued operation and maintenance of these recreation sites.
