Notice is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of the rules and regulations of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights (Commission), and the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA), that a planning meeting of the Delaware Advisory Committee to the Commission will convene by conference call, on Monday, June 17, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. (EDT). The purpose of the meeting is to discuss and vote on the Committee's report on implicit bias and policing in communities of color in Delaware.

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of the rules and regulations of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights (Commission), and the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA), that a briefing meeting of the New York Advisory Committee to the Commission will convene at 9:00 a.m. (EDT) on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 and Thursday, June 13, 2019 in the Auditorium of CUNY School of Law, 2 Court Square, Long Island City, NY 11101. The purpose of the briefing is to examine whether New York State is depriving its students of equal access to a state constitution mandated ``sound basic education'', and the effect that failure has had particularly on the black and latinx communities. The Committee will also look at the possible implications of the allocation of Foundation Aid or the failure of New York State to allocate sufficient funds for education. Time will be set aside at the end of the briefing so that members of the public may address the Committee after the formal presentations have been completed. Notice is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of the rules and regulations of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights (Commission), and the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) that a meeting of the Colorado Advisory Committee to the Commission will convene by conference call at 2:00 p.m. (MDT) on Friday, June 14, 2019. The purpose of the meeting is to review and vote on the draft report on the naturalization backlog and decide next steps for the report. An update on the potential to hold a community forum will also be provided.

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of the rules and regulations of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights (Commission) and the Federal Advisory Committee Act that the Maine Advisory Committee (Committee) will hold a meeting on Friday, May 31, 2019, at 3:00 p.m. (EDT) for the purpose of reviewing and voting on its report on the criminalization of people with mental illnesses. The Committee will also discuss holding a mini-briefing on hate crimes in Maine.

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of the rules and regulations of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights (Commission) and the Federal Advisory Committee Act that the Ohio Advisory Committee (Committee) will hold a meeting via teleconference on Wednesday June 5, 2019, from 3-4 p.m. EDT for the purpose of reviewing received testimony and discussing next steps in developing the Committee's final report and recommendations to the Commission on education funding in the state.

The purpose of the meeting is for the Committee to finalize the Bordertown Discrimination Report.

The purpose of the planning meeting is to continue project planning for a future briefing meeting on the Committee's civil rights project that examines the intersection of homelessness, mental health and the criminal justice system, including a review of the DC Mental Health Court.
