Bureau of Reclamation February 2015 – Federal Register Recent Federal Regulation Documents

The Bureau of Reclamation has made available to the public the Water Management Plans for 10 entities. For the purpose of this announcement, Water Management Plans (Plans) are considered the same as Water Conservation Plans. Reclamation is publishing this notice in order to allow the public an opportunity to review the Plans and comment on the preliminary determinations.

We, the Bureau of Reclamation, intend to submit a request for the renewal (with revisions) of an existing approved information collection to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) titled, Forms to Determine Compliance by Certain Landholders, 43 CFR part 426, OMB Control Number 1006-0023.

The Bureau of Reclamation and the City of San Bernardino Municipal Water Department will prepare a joint Environmental Impact Statement/Environmental Impact Report (EIS/EIR) to evaluate the effects of the Clean Water Factory project. The proposed Clean Water Factory is a water reclamation project to treat and reuse municipal wastewater that is currently discharged to the Santa Ana River. The reclaimed water will be used for groundwater recharge and landscape irrigation. The purpose of the project is to reduce dependence on imported water and establish a reliable, sustainable source of clean water. The public and agencies are invited to comment on the scope of the EIS/EIR and the proposed alternatives.
