Advisory Board of Exceptional Children
The Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) is announcing that the Advisory Board for Exceptional Children will hold a two-day in-person and online meeting. The purpose of the meeting is to meet the mandates of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act of 2004 (IDEA) for Indian children with disabilities. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and for the safety of all individuals, an online meeting option is provided for those who cannot attend in-person.

Land Acquisitions
The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) seeks input on changes to its regulations governing the discretionary acquisition of land into trust for the benefit of tribal governments and individual Indians. Since these regulations were first promulgated in 1980, the BIA has developed extensive experience in the fee-to-trust acquisition process. Relying on that experience and input from tribal governments and individual Indians, this proposed rule seeks to make the land into trust process more efficient, simpler, and less expensive to support restoration of tribal homelands.
HEARTH Act Approval of Pawnee Nation of Oklahoma Leasing Ordinance
The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) approved the Pawnee Nation of Oklahoma Leasing Ordinance under the Helping Expedite and Advance Responsible Tribal Homeownership Act of 2012 (HEARTH Act). With this approval, the Tribe is authorized to enter into agricultural, business, residential, wind and solar, public, religious, educational, recreational, cultural, and other purposes leases without further BIA approval.
Appeals From Administrative Actions
The Department of the Interior (Department) proposes to revise regulations governing the process for pursuing administrative review of actions by Indian Affairs officials. These changes are being proposed to reflect changes in the structure and nomenclature within Indian Affairs, and to provide greater specificity and clarity to the appeals process.
Final Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement for the 2015 Integrated Resource Management Plan for the Colville Indian Reservation, Nespelem, Washington
This notice advises the public that the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), as lead agency, and the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation (Tribes) intends to file a Final Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for the 2015 Colville Reservation Integrated Resource Management Plan (IRMP). This notice announces that the FEIS is now available for public review.
