This notice publishes the Deemed Approved Amendment to the Tribal-State Compact between the State of Oregon and the Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Indians.

In compliance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) is submitting to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) a request for renewal for the collection of information for Tribal Colleges and Universities Annual Report Form. The information collection is currently authorized by OMB Control Number 1076-0105, which expires September 30, 2012.

The Department of the Interior (Department) gives notice that the Assistant SecretaryIndian Affairs (AS-IA) declines to acknowledge the petitioner known as the Brothertown Indian Nation as an Indian tribe within the meaning of Federal law. This notice is based on a determination that the petitioner does not satisfy criterion 83.7(g) in the applicable regulations and, therefore, the Department lacks the authority to extend acknowledgment as an Indian tribe to the petitioner.

Indian Affairs will conduct a listening session with Indian tribes to obtain oral and written comments concerning sacred sites located on Federal lands. This session in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is the sixth in a series of listening sessions held since the beginning of August.

This notice informs the public that the Assistant Secretary Indian Affairs proclaimed approximately 80.00 acres, more or less, to be added to the Bay Mills Indian Reservation for the Bay Mills Indian Community of Michigan.
