The Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) will be adding three tribal consultation sessions to the previously scheduled sessions. The additional sessions will focus on the proposed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Department of Education (ED) and the Department of the Interior (DOI) to improve American Indian and Alaska Native education. The MOU is authorized by the President's Executive Order on Improving American Indian and Alaska Native Educational Opportunities and Strengthening Tribal Colleges and Universities (Executive Order 135092) and section 9204 of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act.

This notice publishes Chapter 11Alcohol Control Act for the Kootenai Tribe of Idaho. The Act regulates and controls the possession, sale and consumption of liquor within the Kootenai Tribe of Idaho's Reservation. This Act allows for the possession and sale of alcoholic beverages within the jurisdiction of the Kootenai Tribe of Idaho's Reservation, will increase the ability of the tribal government to control the distribution and possession of liquor within their reservation, and at the same time will provide an important source of revenue, the strengthening of the tribal government and the delivery of tribal services.
