Energy Policy Act of 2005, Section 1813, Report to Congress
Section 1813 of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 (Pub. L. 109-58) requires the Department of the Interior and the Department of Energy (Departments) to jointly consult with stakeholders and conduct a study of issues related to energy rights-of-way (ROWs) on tribal lands. The Act further directs the Departments to submit a report to Congress on the findings of the study. The Report to Congress is available on the Section 1813 Web site (https://1813.anl.gov). This Web site will remain active until August 8, 2007.
Request for Nominations of Members To Serve on the Bureau of Indian Education Advisory Board for Exceptional Education
Pursuant to the Federal Advisory Committee Act and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEIA), the Bureau of Indian Education requests nominations of individuals to serve on the Advisory Board for Exceptional Education (Advisory Board). The Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) will consider nominations received in response to this Request for Nominations, as well as other sources. Proclaiming Certain Lands as Reservation for the Jena Band of Choctaw Indians of Louisiana; Correction
The Bureau of Indian Affairs published in the Federal Register of April 2, 2007, a notice informing the public that the Principal Deputy Assistant SecretaryIndian Affairs proclaimed approximately 63.52 acres, more or less, as the Jena Band of Choctaw Reservation for the Jena Band of Choctaw Indians of Louisiana (Jena Band). The land description as published contained an error. This action corrects that error.
