60-Day Notice of public information collections
The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) seeks Office of Management and Budget (OMB) approval to continue the information collections described below. In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act for 1995, USAID requests public comment on these collections from all interested individuals and organizations. The purpose of this notice is to allow 60 days for public comment preceding submission of the collections to OMB. Comments are requested concerning: (a) Whether the collections of information are necessary for the proper performance of the functions of the agency, including whether the information shall have practical utility; (b) the accuracy of the burden estimates; (c) ways to enhance the quality, utility, and clarity of the information collected; and (d) ways to minimize the burden of the collection of information on the respondents, including through the use of automated collection techniques or other forms of information technology.

This proposed information collection was published in the Federal Register on March 5, 2021 at 86 FR 12901, allowing for a 60-day public comment period. The purpose of this notice is to allow an additional 30 days for public comment. Comments are requested concerning whether the proposed collection of information is necessary for the proper performance of functions of the agency, including the practical utility of the information; the accuracy of USAID's estimate of the burden of the proposed collection of information; ways to enhance the quality, utility, and clarity of the information to be collected; and ways to minimize the burden of the collection of information on respondents.
Claims-Collection Regulation
The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) is revising its regulation on claims collection in its entirety to incorporate applicable statutory and regulatory provisions and to make other changes. Specifically, an amendment made by the Digital Accountability and Transparency Act of 2014 (DATA Act) requires USAID to refer to the Secretary of the Treasury all past-due, legally enforceable, non-tax debt that are over 120 days delinquent. The changes will maximize the effectiveness of USAID's claim-collection procedures.
