Notice is hereby given of the following hearing of the U.S.- China Economic and Security Review Commission. Name: William A. Reinsch, Chairman of the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission. The Commission is mandated by Congress to investigate, assess, and report to Congress annually on ``the national security implications of the economic relationship between the United States and the People's Republic of China.'' Pursuant to this mandate, the Commission will hold a public hearing in Washington, DC on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, on ``Hearing on China's Relations with Southeast Asia.'' Background: This is the sixth public hearing the Commission will hold during its 2015 report cycle to collect input from academic, industry, and government experts on national security implications of the U.S. bilateral trade and economic relationship with China. The hearing will focus on key developments in the security, diplomatic, and economic spheres of China's relations with countries in Southeast Asia and with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). It will seek to understand how China's relations with the region may be changing and the implications of developments in China-Southeast Asia relations for the United States. The hearing will be co-chaired by Commissioners Carolyn Bartholomew and Daniel M. Slane. Any interested party may file a written statement by May 13, 2015, by mailing to the contact below.
