The proposed information collection described below will be submitted to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review, as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (44 U.S.C. Chapter 35, as amended). The Tennessee Valley Authority is soliciting public comments on this proposed collection as provided by 5 CFR Section 1320.8(d)(1). Requests for information, including copies of the information collection proposed and supporting documentation, should be directed to the Agency Clearance Officer: Alice D. Comments should be sent to the Agency Clearance Officer no later than January 17, 2006.
Final Environmental Impact Statement-500-kV Transmission Line in Middle Tennessee
This notice is provided in accordance with the Council on Environmental Quality's regulations (40 CFR parts 1500 to 1508) and TVA's procedures implementing the National Environmental Policy Act. TVA has decided to implement the preferred alternative identified in its Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), 500-kV Transmission Line in Middle Tennessee. In implementing Alternative 1, TVA has decided to construct and operate the new 500-kV transmission line between Cumberland Fossil Plant in Stewart County, Tennessee, and TVA's Montgomery 500-kV Substation in Montgomery County, Tennessee. The 38.5-mile transmission line would be constructed within Corridor B and on the Cumberland River South and Industrial Park Central alternative alignments described in the Final EIS.
