Proposed Submission of Information Collection for OMB Review; Comment Request; Disclosure of Termination Information
Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (``PBGC'') intends to request that the Office of Management and Budget (``OMB'') extend approval, under the Paperwork Reduction Act, of a collection of information on the disclosure of termination information under its regulations for distress terminations, and for PBGC-initiated terminations. This notice informs the public of PBGC's intent and solicits public comment on the collection of information.
Benefits Payable in Terminated Single-Employer Plans; Interest Assumptions for Paying Benefits
This final rule amends the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation's regulation on Benefits Payable in Terminated Single- Employer Plans to prescribe certain interest assumptions under the regulation for plans with valuation dates in December 2020. These interest assumptions are used for paying certain benefits under terminating single-employer plans covered by the pension insurance system administered by PBGC.
