The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) is requesting that the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) approve, under the Paperwork Reduction Act, a modified collection of information under its regulation on Payment of Premiums (OMB control number 1212-0009; expiring June 30, 2021). This notice informs the public of PBGC's request and solicits public comment on the collection.
Benefits Payable in Terminated Single-Employer Plans; Interest Assumptions for Paying Benefits
This final rule amends the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation's regulation on Benefits Payable in Terminated Single- Employer Plans to prescribe certain interest assumptions under the regulation for plans with valuation dates in November 2019. These interest assumptions are used for paying certain benefits under terminating single-employer plans covered by the pension insurance system administered by PBGC.
Administrative Review of Agency Decisions
The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation is amending its regulation on Rules for Administrative Review of Agency Decisions. The proposed rule would clarify and make changes to the review process for certain agency determinations and the procedures for requesting administrative review.
