Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation October 2015 – Federal Register Recent Federal Regulation Documents

The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (``PBGC'') intends to request that the Office of Management and Budget (``OMB'') approve modifications to a collection of information under the Paperwork Reduction Act. The purpose of the information collection is to enable the PBGC to pay benefits to participants and beneficiaries. This notice informs the public of PBGC's intent and solicits public comment on the collection of information, as modified.

This final rule amends the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation's regulation on Benefits Payable in Terminated Single-Employer Plans to prescribe interest assumptions under the regulation for valuation dates in November 2015. The interest assumptions are used for paying benefits under terminating single- employer plans covered by the pension insurance system administered by PBGC.
