Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation March 2015 – Federal Register Recent Federal Regulation Documents

This final rule amends the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation's regulations on Benefits Payable in Terminated Single- Employer Plans and Allocation of Assets in Single-Employer Plans to prescribe interest assumptions under the benefit payments regulation for valuation dates in April 2015 and interest assumptions under the asset allocation regulation for valuation dates in the second quarter of 2015. The interest assumptions are used for valuing and paying benefits under terminating single-employer plans covered by the pension insurance system administered by PBGC.

The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) published a document in the Federal Register on March 2, 2015, concerning a proposed submission of an information collection on Annual Financial and Actuarial Information Reporting for OMB review. The document contained an inadvertent error in the subject heading.

The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) intends to request that the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) extend approval, under the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, of its collection of information for annual financial and actuarial reporting under 29 CFR part 4010 (OMB control number 1212-0049, expires June 30, 2015). This notice informs the public of PBGC's intent and solicits public comment on the collection of information.
