The Institute of Museum and Library Services announces the following information collection has been submitted to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review and approval in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (Pub. L. 104-13, 44 U.S.C. Chapter 35). This program helps to ensure that requested data can be provided in the desired format, reporting burden (time and financial resources) is minimized, collection instruments are clearly understood, and the impact of collection requirements on respondents can be properly assessed. The Federal Council on the Arts and the Humanities proposes to amend its regulations to reflect Congress' authorization of a Domestic Indemnity Program under Section 426 of The Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2008, Public Law 110-161 (December 26, 2007). The proposed rule includes examples of exhibitions eligible for indemnification which are intended to provide further guidance to applicants considering applying for indemnification of exhibitions with domestic or foreign-owned objects.
