Heliophysics Advisory Committee; Meeting
In accordance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) announces a meeting of the Heliophysics Advisory Committee (HPAC). This Committee functions in an advisory capacity to the Director, Heliophysics Division, in the NASA Science Mission Directorate. Information Collection; Implementation of Federal Acquisition Supply Chain Security Act (FASCSA) Orders
DoD, GSA, and NASA invite public comment on a proposed emergency information collection that will be submitted to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for clearance, pursuant to the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995. Comments are invited on: whether the proposed collection of information is necessary for proper performance of the functions of Federal Government acquisitions, including whether the information will have practical utility; the accuracy of the estimate of the burden of the proposed information collection; ways to enhance the quality, utility, and clarity of the information to be collected; and; ways to minimize the burden of the information collection on respondents, including the use of automated collection techniques or other forms of information technology.
Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement: Revision of the Definition of “Commercial Item” (NFS Case 2022-N003); Correction
National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is correcting a final rule that appeared in the Federal Register on September 19, 2023. The document issued was to conform the NASA FAR Supplement (NFS) to changes in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) that reflect an updated ``commercial item'' definition pursuant to a section of the John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year (FY) 2019.

The renewed charter is for a two-year period ending September 30, 2025.

Federal Acquisition Regulation: Whistleblower Protection for Contractor Employees
DoD, GSA, and NASA are issuing a final rule amending the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) to implement an act to enhance whistleblower protection for contractor employees. The rule makes permanent the protection for disclosure of certain information. It also clarifies that the prohibition on reimbursement for legal fees accrued in defense against reprisal claims applies to subcontractors, as well as contractors.

Aerospace Safety Advisory Panel; Meeting
In accordance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act, as amended, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration announces a forthcoming meeting of the Aerospace Safety Advisory Panel (ASAP). The ASAP will hold its Fourth Quarterly Meeting for 2023. This discussion is pursuant to carrying out its statutory duties for which the Panel reviews, identifies, evaluates, and advises on those program activities, systems, procedures, and management activities that can contribute to program risk. Priority is given to those programs that involve the safety of human flight.
