Legal Services Corporation April 2017 – Federal Register Recent Federal Regulation Documents

On April 17, 2017, the Legal Services Corporation (LSC) published a notice in the Federal Register titled ``Board of Directors and its Six Committees will meet on April 23-25, 2017, Eastern Daylight Time (EDT)''. A correction to change the Institutional Advancement Committee's Open Session Agenda by adding an additional item to the agenda item #5 Consider and act on Resolution 2017-XXX, Minnesota Charitable Organization Annual Report Form; all other items remain consecutively the same.

The Legal Services Corporation (LSC) is the national organization charged with administering Federal funds provided for civil legal services to low-income people. LSC hereby announces the submission dates for applications for subgrants of Basic Field Grant funds starting after June 1, 2017 but before January 1, 2018. LSC is also providing information about where applicants may locate subgrant application forms and directions for providing the information required to apply for a subgrant.

The Legal Services Corporation (LSC) intends to revise the Grant Terms and Conditions (formerly the Grant Assurances) for grant year 2018 Basic Field Grants and is soliciting public comment on the proposed changes.

The Legal Services Corporation (LSC) is in the process of revising the Performance Criteria that LSC uses to evaluate the quality of legal assistance provided by its grantees. LSC is seeking comments on the proposed changes to Performance Area 4, ``Effectiveness of governance, leadership, and administration.''
