The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is issuing a confirmatory order to Kruger Technologies, Inc., (KTI) confirming agreements reached in an Alternative Dispute Resolution Session held on September 3, 2014. As part of the agreement, KTI will take a number of actions, including: Revising the company-wide policy to describe implementation of NRC safety and security requirements for portable gauges; ensuring all authorized gauge users are trained initially and annually on the revised company-wide policy; increasing management oversight by establishing a process to periodically conduct field inspections; and providing Radiation Safety Officer training for an additional authorized gauge user. KTI is also required to notify the NRC periodically of the status of its efforts.

The Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), as part of its continuing effort to reduce paperwork and respondent burden, conducts a pre-clearance consultation program to provide the general public and federal agencies with an opportunity to comment on proposed and/or continuing collections of information in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (PRA95) (44 U.S.C. 3506(c)(2)(A)). This program helps to ensure that requested data can be provided in the desired format, reporting burden (time and financial resources) is minimized, collection instruments are clearly understood, and the impact of collection requirement on respondents can be properly assessed. Currently, CNCS is soliciting comments concerning its proposed Alumni Outcomes Survey. Title and purpose of information collection: Application for Benefits Due But Unpaid at Death; OMB 3220-0055. Under Section 2(g) of the Railroad Unemployment Insurance Act, benefits that accrued but were not paid because of the death of the employee shall be paid to the same individual(s) to whom benefits are payable under Section 6(a)(1) of the Railroad Retirement Act. The provisions relating to the payment of such benefits are prescribed in 20 CFR 325.5 and 20 CFR 335.5. The RRB provides Form UI-63, Application for Benefits Due But Unpaid at Death, to those applying for the accrued sickness or unemployment benefits unpaid at the death of the employee and for obtaining the information needed to identify the proper payee. One response is requested of each respondent. Completion is required to obtain a benefit. The RRB proposes no changes to Form UI-63.

The NRC staff reviewed this request and determined that it is appropriate to grant the exemption, but stipulated that the updates to the FSAR must be submitted prior to, or coincident with, the resumption of the COL application safety review or by December 31, 2015, whichever comes first.
