The one object of cultural patrimony is a baby cradle basket. The basket was made by Mrs. Rosie Fred, a member of the Big Valley Band of Pomo Indians, in the 1950s and purchased by Louis Arthur Payen in the 1960s from Ramona McCloud, also a member of the Big Valley Band of Pomo Indians. Mr. Payen donated the basket to Sacramento State in either the late 1960s or early 1970s, where it has since been curated under accession number 1974–19–12. Requests for Repatriation Additional, written requests for repatriation of the cultural item in this notice must be sent to the authorized representative identified in this notice under ADDRESSES.
