SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The
Government of the Socialist Republic of
Vietnam made a request to the
Government of the United States on
November 13, 2024, under Article 9 of
the 1970 UNESCO Convention on the
Means of Prohibiting and Preventing the
Illicit Import, Export and Transfer of
Ownership of Cultural Property.
Vietnam’s request seeks U.S. import
restrictions on archaeological and
ethnological materials representing
Vietnam’s cultural patrimony. The
Cultural Heritage Center website will
provide instructions for public comment
and additional information on the
request, including categories of material
that may be included in import
restrictions: https://eca.state.gov/

‘‘Recasting the Past: The Art of
Chinese Bronzes, 1100–1900’’
Exhibition
Notice is hereby given of the
following determinations: I hereby
determine that certain objects being
imported from abroad pursuant to
agreements with their foreign owners or
custodians for temporary display in the
exhibition ‘‘Recasting the Past: The Art
of Chinese Bronzes, 1100–1900’’ at The
Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York,
New York, and at possible additional
exhibitions or venues yet to be
determined, are of cultural significance,
and, further, that their temporary
exhibition or display within the United
States as aforementioned is in the
national interest. I have ordered that
Public Notice of these determinations be
published in the Federal Register.

Review of the Foreign Terrorist
Organization Designations of al-Qa’ida
in the Indian Subcontinent, Boko
Haram, Hizballah, ISIS-West Africa, and
Jemaah Islamiyah
Based upon a review of the
Administrative Records assembled
pursuant to section 219(a)(4)(C) of the
Immigration and Nationality Act, as
amended (8 U.S.C. 1189(a)(4)(C))
(‘‘INA’’), and in consultation with the
Attorney General and the Secretary of
the Treasury, the Secretary of State
concluded that the circumstances that
were the basis for the designations of alQa’ida in the Indian Subcontinent (and
other aliases); Boko Haram (and other
aliases); Hizballah (and other aliases);
ISIS-West Africa (and other aliases); and
Jemaah Islamiyah (and other aliases) as
Foreign Terrorist Organizations have not
changed in such a manner as to warrant
revocation of the designations and that
the national security of the United
States does not warrant a revocation of
the designations.
Therefore, the Secretary of State has
determined that the designations of the
aforementioned organizations, pursuant
to Section 219 of the INA (8 U.S.C.
1189), shall be maintained.
