l. Description of Request: The licensee
proposes revising the project boundary
associated with the Marmet
Development’s transmission line. The
Marmet Development currently includes
two, 46-kilovolt (kV) transmission lines
(i.e., circuits) within a single 0.78-milelong transmission line corridor, which
crosses the Kanawha River to its
interconnection point at the Belle
Substation. To accommodate revised
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’
standards, the licensee is proposing to
replace two existing tower structures
and a portion of the existing
transmission circuits, including the
portion that crosses the Kanawha River,
and to install a new tower structure and
new transmission circuits. This
proposed modification would change
the length of the transmission line rightof-way portion of the corridor to 0.74
miles long. The proposal would add
approximately 3.61 acres to the project
boundary and remove approximately
1.64 acres, for a net increase of 1.97
acres. The licensee states that the
relocation of the transmission line
would not change licensed project
operations or require in-stream work.
The area for the two poles being
replaced is disturbed and within the
project boundary. The new pole is
outside of the project boundary;
however, the licensee states land
immediately adjacent to the river where
the new pole would be located has been
substantially modified.

As announced in the August 2, 2024
Notice in this proceeding, and August
16, 2024, September 10, 2024, and
October 10, 2024 supplemental notices
in this proceeding, the Federal Energy
Regulatory Commission (Commission)
will convene a Commissioner-led
technical conference in the abovereferenced proceeding. The technical
conference will take place on Friday,
November 1, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to
3:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The technical
conference will be held in-person at the
Commission’s headquarters at 888 First
Street NE, Washington, DC 20426 in the
Commission Meeting Room. The
meeting will be available to view online.
