In the Federal Register of July
2, 2024, EPA announced the availability
of and solicited public comment on a
framework for expanding interagency
collaboration to improve the
communication and knowledge base
within the federal family to fully
consider potential adverse impact of
pesticides on efficacy of human and
animal drugs. In particular, the use of
antifungal and antibacterial pesticides,

human and animal pathogens and may

People Concerned About Chemical
Safety (PCACS) and Earthjustice. The
petition requested that the EPA object to
a Clean Air Act (CAA) title V operating
permit issued by the West Virginia
Department of Environmental
Protection’s Division of Air Quality
(WVDEP) to Union Carbide Institute
Facility for its Logistics Unit and the
Catalyst Plant located in Kanawha
County, West Virginia.
