    The applicant requests a permit to export/re-export one male and 
three female captive-bred giant pandas (Ailuropoda melanoleuca) to the 
Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, Sichuan, the People's 
Republic of China, for the purpose of enhancing the propagation or 
survival of the species. This notification is for a single export/re-
export.
