AGENCY:
The Forest Service (Forest
Service or Agency), United States
Department of Agriculture, is issuing a
final permanent order prohibiting
prairie dog hunting in part of the Conata
Basin area of the Wall Ranger District in
the Buffalo Gap National Grassland
covering approximately 80,694 acres in
Jackson and Pennington Counties, South
Dakota.
ADDRESSES: The final permanent prairie
dog hunting order, map and justification
for the final permanent order, and the
response to comments on the proposed
permanent order are posted on the
Nebraska National Forests and
Grasslands web page at https://

Dingell Act,’’ requires the Forest Service
to provide advance notice and
opportunity for public comment before

AGENCY:
The Pacific Northwest
National Scenic Trail Advisory Council
will hold public meetings according to
the details shown below. The committee
is authorized under the National Trails
System Act (the Act) and operates in
compliance with the Federal Advisory
Committee Act (FACA). The purpose of
the Council is to advise and make
recommendations to the Secretary of
Agriculture, through the Chief of the
Forest Service, on matters relating to the
Pacific Northwest National Scenic Trail
as described in the Act.
DATES: A virtual meeting will be held
May 14th, 2024, 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.,
Pacific Daylight Time.
Written and Oral Comments: Anyone
