Pursuant to section 1009 of the
Federal Advisory Committee Act, as
amended, notice is hereby given of the
following meeting.
The meeting will be closed to the
public in accordance with the
provisions set forth in sections
552b(c)(4) and 552b(c)(6), title 5 U.S.C.,
as amended. The grant applications and
the discussions could disclose
confidential trade secrets or commercial
property such as patentable material,
and personal information concerning
individuals associated with the grant
applications, the disclosure of which
would constitute a clearly unwarranted
invasion of personal privacy.

ACTION: 60-Day notice and request for

AGENCY:
The Department of Homeland
Security, U.S. Customs and Border
Protection (CBP) will be submitting the
following information collection request
to the Office of Management and Budget
(OMB) for review and approval in
accordance with the Paperwork
Reduction Act of 1995 (PRA). The
information collection is published in
the Federal Register to obtain comments
from the public and affected agencies.
DATES: Comments are encouraged and
must be submitted (no later than June
10, 2024) to be assured of consideration.

Federal agencies to comment on the
proposed and/or continuing information
collections pursuant to the Paperwork
Reduction Act of 1995 (44 U.S.C. 3501
et seq.). This process is conducted in

four points: (1) whether the proposed
collection of information is necessary
for the proper performance of the
functions of the agency, including

agency’s estimate of the burden of the

methodology and assumptions used; (3)
suggestions to enhance the quality,
utility, and clarity of the information to
be collected; and (4) suggestions to

extend the authority without changing
the annual burden previously reported
or information collected.
Type of Review: Extension (without

Affected Public: Individuals.
Abstract: The data collected on DHS
Form I–193, Application for Waiver of
Passport and/or Visa, allows CBP to
determine an applicant’s identity,
alienage, claim to legal status in the
United States, and eligibility to enter the
United States under 8 CFR 211.1(b)(3)
and 212.1(g). DHS Form I–193 is an
application submitted by a
nonimmigrant alien seeking admission
to the United States requesting a waiver
of passport and/or visa requirements
due to an unforeseen emergency. It is
also an application submitted by an
immigration alien returning to an
unrelinquished lawful permanent
residence in the United States after a
temporary absence abroad requesting a
waiver of documentary requirements for
good cause. The waiver of the
documentary requirements and the
information collected on DHS Form I–
193 is authorized by Sections 212(a)(7),
212(d)(4), and 212(k) of the Immigration
and Nationality Act, as amended, and 8
CFR 211.1(b)(3) and 212.1(g). This form
