ACTION:
In accordance with the
Federal Advisory Committee Act of
1972, as amended, the National Park
Service (NPS) is hereby giving notice
that the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal
National Historical Park Commission
(Commission) will meet as indicated
below.
SUMMARY:
The in-person meeting will take
place on Monday, May 6, 2024. The
meeting will begin at 10 a.m. until 2
p.m. (EASTERN), with an hour-long
lunch break.
ADDRESSES: The meeting will be held in
the public conference room at park
headquarters, Chesapeake and Ohio
Canal National Historical Park, 142 W
Potomac Street, Williamsport, MD
21795. Individuals that prefer to
participate virtually must contact the
person listed in the (see FOR FURTHER

five (5) business days prior to the

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The
Commission was established on January
8, 1971, under 16 U.S.C. 410y–4, as
amended, and is regulated by the
Federal Advisory Committee Act.
Appendix D, Division B, Title I, section
134 of Public Law 106–554, December
21, 2000, and section 1 of Public Law
113–178, September 26, 2014,
respectively. The Commission will
terminate on September 26, 2024, unless
reauthorized by Congress.
Purpose of the Meeting: The agenda
will include discussion of park updates
and outline goals for Fiscal Year 2024
and beyond. The final agenda will be
posted on the park’s website at https://
www.nps.gov/choh/learn/news/federaladvisory-commission.htm. The website
includes meeting minutes from all prior

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Section
337 of the Tariff Act of 1930 provides
that, if the Commission finds a
violation, it shall exclude the articles
concerned from the United States
unless, after considering the effect of
such exclusion upon the public health
and welfare, competitive conditions in
the United States economy, the
production of like or directly
competitive articles in the United
States, and United States consumers, it
finds that such articles should not be
excluded from entry. (19 U.S.C.
1337(d)(1)). A similar provision applies
