1. Purpose
The Exchange proposes to amend
BOX Rule 5020 (Criteria for Underlying
Securities) to allow the Exchange to list
and trade options on ETFs that
represent interests in a trust that holds
Bitcoin ETPs, designating them as ETFs
deemed appropriate for options trading
on the Exchange. This is a competitive
filing that is based on proposals recently
submitted by Cboe Exchange, Inc
(‘‘CBOE’’) and Miami International
Securities Exchange, LLC (‘‘MIAX’’).3
Current Exchange Rule 5020(h)
provides that, subject to certain other
criteria set forth in that Rule, securities
deemed appropriate for options trading
include ETFs that represent certain
types of interests,4 including interests in
