petitioner seeks relief from the remote
identification design and production
requirements under 14 CFR 89.515 for
the production of an uncrewed aircraft
(UA) without design or production
approval for light show events. If
granted, the requested relief would
allow Verge Aero to produce drones to
be used exclusively for drone show
operations without the UA complying
with the minimum performance
requirements for standard remote
identification UA established in
§ 89.310. In lieu of complying with 14
CFR 89.515, the petitioner proposes to
use a ground-based WiFi router network
to broadcast identifying information for

FMCSA announces its
decision to renew exemptions for 18
individuals from the hearing
requirement in the Federal Motor
Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs) for
interstate commercial motor vehicle
(CMV) drivers. The exemptions enable
these hard of hearing and deaf
individuals to continue to operate CMVs
in interstate commerce.
