Background: Congress directed FTA to establish a comprehensive Public Transportation Safety Program in the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act (Pub. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, enacted as the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (Pub. DOT will facilitate the Task Force and encourage all members to consider both current and emerging issues, including issues driven by new and evolving technologies as well as other external factors and trends.
