Treasury determines the amount of fees
in accordance with the IOAA and the
Office of Management and Budget
Circular A–25, as amended. The change
in fees is the result of a thorough
analysis of costs associated with the
corporate federal surety bond program.
The new fee rate schedule is as
follows:
(1) Examination of a company’s
application for a Certificate of Authority
as an acceptable surety or as an
acceptable reinsuring company on
Federal bonds: $12,400.
(2) Determination of a company’s
continued qualification for annual
renewal of its Certificate of Authority:
$8,000.
(3) Examination of a company’s
application for recognition as an
Admitted Reinsurer: $4,500.
(4) Determination of a company’s
continued qualification for annual
renewal of its authority as an Admitted

10(a)(2) of the Federal Advisory
Committee Act, that a public meeting
via conference call of the ETAAC will
be held on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2024, at
12:30 p.m. EDT. The purpose of the
ETAAC is to provide continuing advice
regarding the development and
implementation of the IRS
organizational strategy for electronic tax
administration. ETAAC is an organized
public forum for discussion of
electronic tax administration issues
such as prevention of identity theft and
refund fraud. It supports the overriding
goal that paperless filing should be the
preferred and most convenient method
of filing tax and information returns.
ETAAC members convey the public’s
perceptions of IRS electronic tax
administration activities, offer
constructive observations about current
or proposed policies, programs, and
procedures, and suggest improvements.
