Notice is hereby given,
pursuant to the provisions of the rules
and regulations of the U.S. Commission
on Civil Rights (Commission) and the
Federal Advisory Committee Act, that
the Florida Advisory Committee
(Committee) to the U.S. Commission on
Civil Rights will hold a public meeting
via Zoom at 11 a.m. ET on Tuesday,
January 9, 2024. The purpose of the
meeting is to discuss post-report
activities and consider the Committee’s
next topic of study.

I. Abstract
The School District Review Program
(SDRP) is a U.S. Department of
Education National Center for Education
Statistics (NCES) sponsored program
conducted annually by the U.S. Census
Bureau. It is of vital importance for each
state’s allocation under title I of the
Elementary and Secondary Education
Act as amended by Every Student
Succeeds Act of 2015, Public Law 114–
95. School district information
submitted through this program, along
with the decennial census population,
Small Area Income and Poverty
Estimates, and current population
estimates, are used in forming the
Census Bureau’s estimates of the
number of children ages 5 through 17 in
families in poverty for each school
district. The U.S Department of
Education uses these estimates to
