Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 to
conduct the Census Household Panel
recruitment and first topical operation
(OMB No. 0607–1025, Exp. 6/20/26).
The Census Household Panel is
designed to ensure availability of
frequent data collection for nationwide
estimates on a variety of topics for a
variety of subgroups of the population.
Content for both Topical 2 and
Topical 3 will consist of a modified
version of the Household Pulse Survey
questionnaire. Topics covered include
employment, telework, access to infant
formula, health and disability,
children’s mental health treatment,
social connection/isolation, childcare
arrangements, educational enrollment,
inflation and spending, food security,
experience of national disasters,
housing, COVID testing and symptoms,
COVID vaccination uptake, and long
COVID. Data will be collected in
December and January to study
methodological implications of having a
repeated measure design. These data
will also be studied in conjunction with
the January fielding of the Household
Pulse Survey. The Department of
Commerce will submit the following
information collection request to the
Office of Management and Budget
(OMB) for review and clearance in
accordance with the Paperwork
Reduction Act of 1995, on or after the
date of publication of this notice. We
invite the general public and other
Federal agencies to comment on
proposed, and continuing information
collections, which helps us assess the
impact of our information collection
requirements and minimize the public’s
reporting burden. Public comments
were previously requested via the
Federal Register on February 6, 2023,
during a 60-day comment period. This
notice allows for an additional 30 days
for public comments.
