The
purpose of the meeting is to:
1. Review subcommittee
considerations regarding priorities for
updates to the Northwest Forest Plan;
2. Consider information provided by
forest managers and others regarding
implementation of the Northwest Forest
Plan; and
3. Schedule the next meeting.
The agenda will include time for
individuals to make oral statements of
three minutes or less. Individuals
wishing to make an oral statement
should make a request in writing at least
three days prior to the meeting date to
be scheduled on the agenda. Written
comments may be submitted to the
Forest Service up to 14 days after the
meeting date listed under DATES.
Please contact the person listed under
FOR FURTHER INFORMATION CONTACT, by
or before the deadline, for all questions
related to the meeting. All comments,
including names and addresses when
provided, are placed in the record and
are available for public inspection and
copying. The public may inspect

or portions thereof, if the head of the
agency to which the advisory committee
reports determines such meetings may
be closed to the public in accordance
with subsection (c) of the Government
in the Sunshine Act (5 U.S.C. 552b(c)).
In this case, the applicable provisions of
5 U.S.C. 552b(c) are subsection
552b(c)(4), which permits closure to
protect trade secrets and commercial or
financial information that is privileged
or confidential, and subsection
552b(c)(9)(B), which permits closure to
protect information that would be likely
to significantly frustrate implementation
of a proposed agency action were it to
be disclosed prematurely. The closed
session of the meeting will involve
committee discussions and guidance
regarding U.S. Government strategies
and policies.
The open session will be accessible
via teleconference. To join the
