published a request for comments in the Federal Register on May 25, 
2023, seeking information from interested parties--in particular

public, and other private sector stakeholders--on the evolution of 
counterfeiting and piracy in recent years and ways to identify and 
develop future anticounterfeiting and antipiracy strategies. Through 
this notice, the USPTO is extending the period for public comments 
until September 25, 2023.
