SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Section
312 of the Coastal Zone Management
Act (CZMA) requires NOAA to conduct
periodic evaluations of Federally
approved coastal management
programs. The evaluation process
includes holding one or more public
meetings, considering public comments,
and consulting with interested Federal,

State, and local agencies and members
of the public. During the evaluation,
NOAA will consider the extent to which
the State of Oregon has met the national
objectives, adhered to the management
program approved by the Secretary of

NOAA’s Office for Coastal Management
will place a notice in the Federal
Register announcing the availability of
the final evaluation findings.

NMFS will convene the
Research Track Assessment Peer Review
Meeting for the purpose of reviewing
the Atlantic cod stocks western Gulf of
Maine, eastern Gulf of Maine, southern
New England, Georges Bank. The
Research Track Assessment Peer Review
is a formal scientific peer-review
process for evaluating and presenting
stock assessment results to managers for
fish stocks in the offshore U.S. waters of
the northwest Atlantic. Assessments are
prepared by the research track working
group and reviewed by an independent
panel of independent stock assessment
experts. The public is invited to attend
the presentations and discussions
between the review panel and the
scientists who have participated in the
stock assessment process.
DATES: The public portion of the
Research Track Assessment Peer Review
Meeting will be held from July 31,
2023–August 3, 2023. The meeting will
conclude on August 3, 2023, at 4:30

The Sikes Act (16 U.S.C. 670a)
provides that established INRMPs must
be reviewed as to their operation and
effect not less than every five years. The
existing BMGR INRMP will be updated
in accordance with the Sikes Act
provision in coordination with the
Director of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife
Service and the Director of the Arizona
Game and Fish Department. The USAF
and USMC will develop a Public Report
summarizing changes in military use of
the BMGR since 2018, as well as
summarizing management initiatives
involving resources found on these
lands will be prepared in accordance
with the MLWA of 1999.
