Sometime between 1915 and 1926, these human remains (catalog number 1872) were purchased by the LMA from Warren K. Moorehead. Moorehead was Curator (1901–1924) and Director (1924–1938) of the Phillips Academy Department of Archaeology. No known individual was identified. No associated funerary objects are present. Cultural Affiliation The human remains in this notice are connected to one or more identifiable earlier groups, tribes, peoples, or cultures. There is a relationship of shared group identity between the identifiable earlier groups, tribes, peoples, or cultures and one or more Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations. SUMMARY: In accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and 
Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), the Beloit College, Logan Museum of 
Anthropology (LMA) has completed an inventory of human remains and an 
associated funerary object and has determined that there is no cultural 
affiliation between the human remains and associated funerary object 
and any Indian Tribe. The human remains and associated funerary object 
were removed from Logan County, Kentucky.

DATES: Disposition of the human remains and associated funerary object 
in this notice may occur on or after July 31, 2023.
