AGENCY: This document provides a notice of public hearing on proposed regulations to implement the advanced manufacturing investment credit established by the Creating Helpful Incentives to Produce Semiconductors (CHIPS) Act of 2022 to incentivize the manufacture of semiconductors and semiconductor manufacturing equipment within the United States. DATES: The public hearing on this proposed regulation has been scheduled for Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at 10 a.m. EST. The IRS must receive speakers’ outlines of the topics to be discussed at the public hearing by Friday, July 7, 2023. If no outlines are received by Friday, July 7, 2023, the public hearing will be cancelled. SUMMARY: This document provides a notice of public hearing on proposed 
regulations to implement the advanced manufacturing investment credit 
established by the Creating Helpful Incentives to Produce 
Semiconductors (CHIPS) Act of 2022 to incentivize the manufacture of 
semiconductors and semiconductor manufacturing equipment within the 
United States.
