I have determined that the damage in
certain areas of the State of Mississippi
resulting from severe storms, straight-line
winds, and tornadoes during the period of
March 24 to March 25, 2023, is of sufficient
severity and magnitude that special cost
sharing arrangements are warranted
regarding Federal funds provided under the
Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and
Emergency Assistance Act, 42 U.S.C. 5121 et
seq. (the ‘‘Stafford Act’’).
Therefore, I amend my declaration of
March 26, 2023, to authorize Federal funds
for debris removal and emergency protective
measures at 100 percent of the total eligible
costs for a continuous 30-day period of the
State’s choosing within the first 120 days of
the incident period.
