Intervention and Protest Deadline
Take notice that on March 29, 2023,
Gulf South Pipeline Company, LLC
(Gulf South), 9 Greenway Plaza, Suite
2800, Houston, Texas 77046, filed a
prior notice application pursuant to
sections 157.205 and 127.216(b) of the
Federal Energy Regulatory
Commission’s (Commission) regulations
under the Natural Gas Act, and Gulf
South’s blanket certificate issued in
Docket No. CP82–430–000. Gulf South
proposes to abandon in place and by
removal its Index 293–2 and Index 293–
2S pipelines consisting of
approximately 1.3 miles total of 10-inch
natural gas pipelines located in
Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana. The
project will involve both excavation on
land and dredging within the
Mississippi River to remove pipeline, all
as more fully set forth in the
application, which is open to the public
for inspection.

Notice the Commission staff will either:
complete its environmental review and
place it into the Commission’s public

issue a Notice of Schedule for
Environmental Review. If a Notice of
Schedule for Environmental Review is
issued, it will indicate, among other
milestones, the anticipated date for the
Commission staff’s issuance of the final
environmental impact statement (FEIS)
or environmental assessment (EA) for
this proposal. The filing of an EA in the
Commission’s public record for this
proceeding or the issuance of a Notice
of Schedule for Environmental Review
will serve to notify federal and state
agencies of the timing for the
completion of all necessary reviews, and
the subsequent need to complete all
federal authorizations within 90 days of
the date of issuance of the Commission
staff’s FEIS or EA.
