The Farm Credit
Administration (FCA) Board extends the
comment period on the Advanced
Notice of Proposed Rulemaking
(ANPRM) seeking public comment on
whether and how FCA should amend
and strengthen the regulatory capital
framework for the Federal Agricultural
Mortgage Corporation (Farmer Mac or
Corporation), so that interested parties
will have additional time to provide
comments.
SUMMARY:
You may send comments on the
ANPRM on or before April 26, 2023.
ADDRESSES: For accuracy and efficiency
reasons, FCA encourages commenters to
submit comments by email or through
the FCA’s website. As facsimiles (fax)
are difficult to process and achieve
compliance with section 508 of the
Rehabilitation Act, comments submitted
by fax are not accepted. Regardless of

furtherance of Farmer Mac’s safe and
sound operations and its role in
promoting affordable and sustainable
access to credit in agricultural and rural
communities. The comment period is
scheduled to expire on March 27, 2023.
The Farm Credit Council, on behalf of
Farm Credit System banks and
associations, has requested more time
for comments to be submitted and
specifically asked for an additional 30
days. In response to this request, FCA is
extending the comment period for an
additional 30 days. The FCA supports
public involvement and participation in
its regulatory process and invites all
interested parties to review and provide
comments on the proposed rule.
