The Food and Drug

forthcoming public advisory committee
meeting of the Nonprescription Drugs
Advisory Committee and the Anesthetic
and Analgesic Drug Products Advisory
Committee. The general function of the
committees is to provide advice and
recommendations to FDA on regulatory
issues. The meeting will be open to the
public. FDA is establishing a docket for
public comment on this document.
DATES: The meeting will be held
virtually on March 20, 2023, from 9 a.m.
to 5:30 p.m. Eastern Time.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Agenda:
The meeting presentations will be
heard, viewed, captioned, and recorded
through an online teleconferencing
platform. The committees will discuss
new drug application 217722, for
naloxone hydrochloride nasal spray, 3
mg/0.1 mL, submitted by Harm
Reduction Therapeutics, Inc. The
product is proposed for nonprescription
use as an opioid reversal agent in the
emergency treatment of opioid
overdose. The issues for discussion will
be on the adequacy of the data
supporting the nonprescription
application. This product represents a
potential first in class product in a new
therapeutic category for nonprescription
drugs.
FDA intends to make background
material available to the public no later
than 2 business days before the meeting.
If FDA is unable to post the background
material on its website prior to the
meeting, the background material will
be made publicly available on FDA’s
website at the time of the advisory
committee meeting. Background
material and the link to the online

by Blood and Blood Products; Draft
Guidance for Industry.’’ The draft
guidance document provides blood
establishments that collect blood or
blood components, including Source
Plasma, with FDA’s revised donor
deferral recommendations for

recommending that these blood

draft guidance, when finalized, will
supersede the guidance entitled,
