The consent decree requires the defendant to perform injunctive relief, including addition of air pollutant emission controls, and pay a $990,000 million civil penalty. The publication of this notice opens a period for public comment on the proposed consent decree. Union Electric Company d/b/a Ameren Missouri., Civil Action No.22–cv–1038. On October 4, 2022, notice of the proposed settlement agreement and the start of the comment period was published in the Federal Register. On November 2, 2022, notice was published by the United States for an extension of the comment period for this Proposed Consent Decree by thirty (30) days, to December 5, 2022. In response to further requests for an extension, the United States is extending the comment period for this Proposed Consent Decree by an additional ninety (90 days), to March 6, 2023.
