FRA assigned the petition Docket Number FRA–2022–0091. Specifically, PSAP requests permission to discontinue the signal interlocking system on the Elma Mainline Subdivision in Aberdeen, Washington, at the swing bridge at mile post (MP) 68.8. This permanent change would include removing block signals at MP 68.5 and 68.7 and the distant signal at 68.3. Additionally, the signals would be turned facing the field and removed. PSAP requests the change because the interlocking system is ‘‘no longer essential for the safe movement of traffic’’ and the discontinuance will ‘‘improve the efficient operations of the railroad.’’ In support of its petition, PSAP states that ‘‘there has been no navigational traffic requested for the bridge to be turned in over two years’’ and that ‘‘the bridge stays lined for mainline movement.’’ A copy of the petition, as well as any written communications concerning the petition, is available for review online at www.regulations.gov.
